The car has covered just over 500 miles, and I just don't use it enough, plus other hobbies are taking over!

I am selling my 1999 reg'd Technics 550 Spyder. The kit was purchased in 1997 for my 50th birthday, and two careful years were spent building it. It passed the SVA test in November '99. It is properly registered and has an age related K suffix plate, (or p/plate by separate negotiation).

Specification

1641cc fully rebuilt engine. Line bored block, new crank, Mahle forged liners and pistons, balanced, full flow oil system with external Fram HP1 filter, aluminium sump extension and Melling pump.

Twin 34 Webers. Rebuilt 1302S gearbox, hydraulic clutch. Fully adjustable suspension all round incl. s/absorbers.

Chrome 356 style wheels, (space saver spare). Original style 4" exhaust, (plus quieter cross mounted spare). Perspex race-style screen, ivory dash knobs and original style instruments. Two pack original Porsche code silver paint finish, fully badged, upholstered in red, the seats covered by Corbeau.

Securon static seat belts help maintain the desired '50s feel I was looking for. Racing period mirrors. All new brake parts with dual circuit, discs front, drums rear, copper pipes, s/steel hoses, silicon fluid. Tonneau cover.

Approximately 120 Spyder kits have been produced by Martin and Walker since the late 80's, and all spare parts ( incl.full screen and weather equipment) are still available. SVA requirements mean that few are sold today, and this is one of only two aircooled SVA examples that I know of.

It runs well and will be sold taxed and tested, with fully photographed build record and documentation. It ideally should go to an enthusiast who will be able to use it.
