Specialty Auto-Sports. Inc.

Once a builder of 356A speedsters manufactured by other companies Specialty Auto-Sports. Inc. began development of a water-cooled Speedster in 2002. Since that time three models have been developed and are in now full production: 356A Speedster, 356A Cabriolet and the 356A Coupe.  The company has its own molds, jigs, fixtures, templates, and patterns.  Visual accuracy of replication is a key feature.

The unique feature is that these cars are mounted onto a custom fabricated structural tube frame and are driven by the Subaru Boxster engines with either automatic overdrive or 5 speed manual transaxles.  With a mid-engine configuration, performance is backed up by the handling. Air conditioning, hot water heat and defrost, leather, etc are all available.
