Tribute becomes REINCARATIONS

We are pleased to announce that from 1st April 2009, Tribute Sports Cars Ltd has been bought by  Reincarations of Burnley, Lancashire and the company will now trade under the name Reincarations Ltd . Managing Director , Christopher Holly said 'We are delighted with this acquisition and particularly to welcome  Terry Watson of Tribute Sports Cars to the board as Sales and Marketing Director of Reincarations'

The joining of the businesses brings with it strong capitalization, technical 'know how', workshop and showroom facilities. It also increases the product range, now to include  custom development of any Porsche model such as replicas of the 1973 Porsche 911 RS Carrera, created by retro styling  later cars, typically early to mid 1980's, at a fraction of the cost of an original car and very useable on a day to day basis! Whilst the business is to begin in the UK, cars will very shortly be made available for Spain and its territories, especially the Canary Islands, where sales and service outlets are already in place. It is anticipated that there will also be demand from other European countries.

Reincarations has been appointed official distributor of Chamonix Cars, Brazil for the UK, Spain and the Canary Islands, Chamonix create the market leading range of 1950's Porsche replicas. Stock 'turnkey' vehicles, both the well respected '1957' Beck 356 Speedster and the stunning '1955' Chamonix 550 Spyder are on order with Chamonix and expected to be available for delivery from early Summer, with a relatively simple self build option to follow shortly for those who wish to create their own masterpiece. Demonstration cars will ultimately be available at both the Lancashire and Northampton locations, making access for prospective owners easier. In addition a full UK show season is planned, with a European schedule for 2010.

Further models and distributorships will be added to the company portfolio as we continue to move forward, taking supply of iconic cars from respected designers and the best specialist manufacturers worldwide to ensure continued owner enjoyment and satisfaction.

In addition the Burnley workshop will consider requests from customers for custom work on their existing cars, both cosmetic and performance, mainly on Porsche products, but also on VW and other makes by discussion. Vehicle servicing and repair is also available.

MARCH 2009 UPDATE

Below are the first pictures of 'Herbie' Blash's car, which reached us today. I have been for a short run and the performance is startling, with strong torque from 1000prm from the eight sparkplug Jake Raby 1.9 engine.
The two cars will be at Northampton for viewing for about two weeks, before going to their new owners.

OCTOBER 2008 UPDATE

Well, it has been a busy few weeks since my last post and I am now working fulltime on the business. Some of you will know that I recently visited to USA plant of our supplier, Special Edition Inc. in Indiana, where I finalised details of the UK specification cars and had the opportunity to take a 240bhp water cooled 550s Spyder and a 26 year old Envemo Convertible C for a run. The Spyder was stunning, running some 6lbs of boost it was a real slap in the back experience, but also ran sweetly when in traffic. The fit and finish were even better than expected, better than my car, which those who have seen it will confirm as excellent! The 'C' was a different experience, totally as built and never restored, it had a patina of age that made it even more convincing and drove beautifully on a 70 bhp 1600cc unit. This car is Kevin Hines's own and was originally built whilst he was in Brazil with Envemo. It serves well to prove the quality of bodywork produced by our suppliers, using the same processes.

The pictures below include a 550 with Carey Hines in the passenger seat, the 'C' mentioned and of the workshop with the car of 'Herbie' Blash in the foreground and the other UK car on the lift. Of interest also is the Speedster in the background - a USA car featuring a Jake Raby Built type four engine, developing some 225BHP! All lines are braided and the brakes are all twin pot calliper discs, though some four pots may be fitted at a later date.

I was also able to inspect the pair of Spyders destined for the UK, these are both aircooled 1915cc cars, though slightly different, one having the 125bhp base unit, whilst the other features a Jake Raby 140bhp twin sparkplug head set up, giving a cleaner burn, more power and torque, cooler head temperatures and potentially greater mpg. I can now reveal that the 140bhp car is going to 'Herbie' Blash, number two to FIA Formula 1 Race Director Charlie Whiting, the other is to be owned by a very well known race and road car designer, who prefers to remain anonymous at this time. These cars are due into the UK shortly and may be examined by appointment at our Northampton facilty.

On return from the USA I attended the Porsche Picnic in the Park, where I was pleased with response to the car and took several enquiries. All in a good Club season end for me, Margaret and I look forward to 2009.
The next event for me is the Classic Motor Show at the NEC, November 14-16, Stand number not yet known, but we are on a wall position in Hall 1, so should be easy to find. I look forward to seeing friends old and new.
Final point, the new website is now running in a basic form with updates as time allows:
